Hello Fellow Botanists!
My name is Emily Perry and I am a Senior at Ohio State studying Biology and Spanish with the hopes of becoming a Pediatric Oncologist.
At Ohio State, I am apart of the organizations of Tri Delta, Humanism in Medicine and Pi Kappa Phi. I am currently conducting research on the correlation between concussions and lower extremity injuries at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in the Sports Injury Prevention Department This past year, I became very interested in mental health which then lead me to working for North Central Mental Health for the Suicide Prevention Hotline. When I am not at the library, I enjoy reading, watching movies and traveling. My favorite place I have traveled to is Capri, Italy – which is pictured above.
The reason I took this course is because I have always been interested in plants and this class seemed very unique. Botany is the study of plants life cycle and their interaction with the environment. I am looking forward to the field trips.
